Nicky, being involved in theatre, competed in the Shakespeare Competition at Southern Utah University. He was in an ensemble piece (with his entire company) and a duo (with his good friend Clayson).
Another theatre mom and I put together some break-a-leg gifts to send off with the kids.
In addition to the above treat, we also put together some gift bags with fun socks, Fruit by the Foot, and a few other foot themed things. I forgot to get photos, but I have the tag:
We snuck a picture of Eddie’s feet into his gift bag.

None of our students placed or got any special recognition, but that’s okay. They had fun and performed well.
Shortly after that, we had fall break (which you can read about here).
Since then, we’ve had some family Halloween parties.
Party #1
Party #2
Scotty played with his band at the local trunk or treat
They dressed up as characters from The Princess Bride.
We carved pumpkins.
Daisy asked a boy to a dance and got an answer!
(At least we think it was him answering her under that ghost sheet).
Nicky finished his final season of high school
Golf. He earned a letter and Academic All Region.
Nicky’s friend Keaton is 6’8” and one of the only people Nicky looks short next to (Nicky’s 6’2”).
We made our (possibly) final trip to Lagoon for the year (unless we squeeze in one more visit this weekend).
I don’t know if I ever mentioned it, but my (old) phone is on the roof of Wicked because a couple of months ago I accidentally left it in my pocket while we rode the rollercoaster, and it fell out.
Nicky got slimed in the Make-a-Wish assembly.
And with all that, we also managed to squeeze in a stomach bug. Now we just need to get through Halloween and a birthday… and then we can dive right into the musical at the high school and the holidays.
