There are a few less tonsils and adenoids around our house these days. Daisy had surgery on Monday, so now we are riding the roller coaster of recovery.
Things look a lot like this right now:
(Except that we're home from the hospital and there are less cords involved).
No matter how common a procedure is, it's never any consolation for seeing your child in pain. I just have to keep reminding myself that our burden will only last about 12 more days. I keep thinking of all of the children I saw at the hospital who are suffering from things that are much worse, and then I am thankful for our small inconvenience.
But still... to see my daughter shaking in pain and refusing to eat, take her medication, or even speak kind of sucks.
Poor thing. i hope her recovery is quick.
ReplyDeletepoor sweeters! Sending positive thoughts to the little patient!
ReplyDeleteOh this is such a sad picture! I hate to see her feeling so crummy and i hope she starts feeling better.
ReplyDeletePoor little girl. That is so tough. She'll feel better soon and is better off in the long run. Both of you hang in there.
ReplyDeleteOh man. I hope she heals fast.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, poor little girl. Hope she is feeling better soon (which, by extensions, translates to you as well).

I hope everyday gets better and better and that she surprises you and its only 8 days instead of 12...;)
ReplyDeleteOh Britt, I am so so sorry. I know exactly what you mean about being thankful for a small problem. But I also know what you mean about how hard it is to watch them go through difficult things small or big. That picture is heartbreaking. I hope she heals super fast.
ReplyDeleteOh bless your heart. I hope she is feeling better soon.
